Emma Meisel

Emma Meisel (they/she) is a Creative Arts Therapist and a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). They have experience working in psychiatric units, shelters, community spaces, medical settings, and pre-schools supporting students with disabilities.
Ms. Meisel’s academic foundations in Sociology (B.A.), Communication (B.A.), and Music Therapy (M.S.) deeply shape their approach to therapeutic work. Emma approaches therapy through an anti-oppressive, humanistic, trauma informed, and resource-oriented lens, with a strong commitment to honoring each person’s unique lived experience. She values understanding therapy participants as whole beings, in relationship with the cultures and systems they exist within.
Emma incorporates various somatic, music-centered, and dialectical behavioral techniques to support participants’ therapeutic journeys. She recognizes the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship and centers trust, collaboration, and emotional safety as core to the work. Emma is committed to co-creating a therapeutic space where participants feel heard, empowered, and supported as their full selves.
