Jess Benston, MPS, LCAT, ATR-BC (she/they) Art Therapist/Psychotherapist Jess earned a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy at the School of Visual Arts. She has worked as an art therapist and clinical supervisor in a variety of settings with individuals, groups, and families. Jess has led groups for LGBTQIA+-identified survivors of trauma, veterans and their families, adolescents in residential care, children in community-based programs, and for survivors of intimate partner violence. In addition to facilitating art therapy groups for LGBTQIA+-identified survivors of trauma. Jess received training in Trauma-Focused CBT and is currently completing training in gestalt therapy. Jess believes in the power of each individual to navigate their challenges by using the creative process. She uses compassion, humor, and a person-centered approach while acknowledging the impact of systems on how a person functions in the world.
