Jennifer Mejia, Art Therapist LP Jennifer received a Bachelor’s degree in Art Therapy with a minor in Psychology from Long Island University and her Masters in Creative Arts Therapy at Hofstra University. Jennifer has had the pleasure and experience in working with disabled youth, children on the autism spectrum, adults with a TBI, and children with acute and long term illness at Stony Brook Children’s hospital. Jennifer’s research and studies are related to the immigrant experience, acculturation, and underprivileged communities. Jennifer believes in creating support to the family which benefits the client. Alongside working with children, Jennifer strives to dedicate her work in bringing services to urban neighborhoods similar to her own.
